250,000 Dominoes - The Incredible Science Machine: World Edition - Detroit, MI - July 2016
For the second year in a row, I participated as a builder and co-designer in Zeal Credit Union’s Incredible Science Machine, led by Steve Price. This year our goal was to break our previous record of 200,000 dominoes and set up a quarter of a million pieces as well as break the world record for the largest circle field. This event took place in the middle of a shopping mall and the theme was all about the continents of the world. I was in charge of designing and building the North America Rube Goldberg machine tables. I also built a lot of the starting machine table as well as part of the sponsor section. In the end, the falldown worked without any full stops and the team had set a new world record for the largest circle field containing 76,017 dominoes.
