I was invited to build a domino project and a Rube Goldberg machine by a local children’s museum, The Strong National Museum of Play for the Brains in Motion weekend. With the help of Lyle Broughton and Hayden Russell, we built 10,000 dominoes and a two table Rube Goldberg machine. Since the museum is dedicated to play, we focused the machine around toys including a truck, a drum, a Monopoly board, a marble run, and a bicycle wheel. For the domino project we included characters that the kids would recognize like Snoopy and R2D2, as well as big colorful tricks. We held two falldowns on the Saturday and Sunday of that weekend, having to reset the machine and the main domino tricks for the second falldown and both setups worked very well earning big cheers from the audience.
