200,000 Dominoes - The Incredible Science Machine - Detroit, MI - July 2015
I participated as a builder and co-designer in Zeal Credit Union’s Incredible Science Machine 2015, led by Steve Price. Our goal was to break the North American domino record as well as break the Guinness World Record for the largest Rube Goldberg Machine. This massive project took sixteen people from all over the world ten days to put together. I designed & built the kinetic art section which included special forms of chain reactions called herringbone chains, stick bombs, & clever lever gadgets. When I wasn’t building the kinetic art, I helped build anything that needed to get done including both dominoes & machines. The final falldown lasted seventeen minutes and went all the way through without any full stops.
